This Stevens manufactured fourth variation receiver is for the Favorite single shot falling block rimfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with light surface rust specks and possibly a few faint specks of pitting. This is the only part on the Favorite rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. Note: Fourth Variation receivers will have (1) the round cut frame, (2) the longer 3 3/16" long lower tang with the integral fixed stud for supporting the 1st variation (aka bow style) mainspring, (3) the shorter 1/2" long rectangular opening for the trigger, (4) lacking any extractor notch therefore designed for the 2nd variation (aka 6 o' clock) extractor with the wider upper portion, (5) has the threaded hole on the forward belly of the receiver for supporting the lever spring screw.

Related Parts: the following list of parts will normally be found on a Favorite single shot rifle having a fourth variation receiver when it originall left the factory new: 1st variation (aka bow style) mainspring, 1st variation hammer, 2nd variation (aka 6 o' clock) extractor with the wider upper portion, 2nd variation link, 2nd variation breech block, 2nd variation lever (no bushing or plunger system), lever spring, lever spring screw and a 2nd variation butt stock with a hard rubber butt plate.

Proof: Fourth variation receivers have been diss-assembled and thoroughly observed by CFN Parts to make the above conclusions with the following serial numbers located on the lower tang: B96
